The report details the activities of the International Committee on Systematics of Prokaryotes, a Committee of the Bacteriology and Applied Microbiology Division of the International Union of Microbiological Societies for the time period between August 2008 and July 2014. Key accomplishments during that time period include revision of the ICSP Statutes, which have remained largely unmodified since first drafted in 1973 and publication of a new revision of the International Code of Nomenclature of Prokaryotes, which has undergone numerous emendations since it was last published in 1992. Both documents will be available in print and electronic form. The ICSP has also continued its publication of the International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, in partnership with the Society for General Microbiology.
